Detailed Description

Communicating your organization’s message is a critical part of frontline advocacy. At FRI, we know how important it is for frontline organizations to develop strong narratives, communicate these effectively, and mobilize your audience to action.

This issue of Frontline Momentum delves into the world of communications in multiple mediums, from door knocking to graphic design. In this issue’s grantee spotlight, you will learn about the Toxic Prisons Campaign of the Human Rights Coalition, an organization of current and formerly incarcerated people that is organizing in response to the environmental injustices occurring at SCI Fayette. Additionally, our Summer Feature article provides three rules of thumb for communicating in the environmental justice space, based on an interview with Bobbie Green, Sr. Communications Specialist, Community Engagement, Environmental Defense Fund. Finally, the issue’s guest author, Rachel Marston, Research Project Manager for the Frontline Resource Institute, offers an overview of visual design principles to elevate your organization’s message.
