We support frontline leaders advancing environmental and climate justice.

About Us

The Frontline Resource Institute was founded in 2021 to provide resources to frontline advocates and organizations. We seek to benefit communities that experience and struggle against the first and worst impacts of environmental harms and climate change. Guided by our Conceptual Committee of frontline leaders, we support just, equitable, and community-centered environmental and climate justice movements.

Our Vision Statement

We envision a just, sustainable, and joyful future where frontline advocates are leaders, delivering environmental and climate justice for all.

Grants

Meet Our Grantees

FRI focused its second grant cycle on supporting narrative sovereignty and story justice projects for an invited cohort of existing grantee organizations. The grant theme responds to a need broadly expressed by community organizations for support to shift the paradigm of storytelling, so that they can share and own their stories on their terms.
