Frontline Resource Institute (FRI)

We support frontline leaders advancing environmental and climate justice.

About Us
2022 Grant Cycle

Meet Our Grantees

Based in nine different U.S. states and territories, our first grantee cohort is working on issues from pesticide reform to food sovereignty. By supporting these frontline environmental and climate justice organizations with funding for strategy development and organizational durability, we seek to bolster their fight for justice - on their own terms.

Our Living Vision

The Frontline Resource Institute (FRI, pronounced “free”) supports frontline communities working to advance environmental justice and climate justice by providing the resources and technical assistance to build a world where all can achieve healthy, safe, and sustainable environments.
